Bud Wrenn – Director – tcwrenn@integritycommunity.org

Bud is the founding director of the Innovative Church Community and the founding pastor of Integrity Community Church in Burlington, NC, which was awarded the Saddleback / Purpose-Driven Ministries Church Health Award in 2001. Prior to serving in pastoral ministry, Bud had a 10-year corporate career, as a financial manager and corporate controller.

Bud’s book “Innovative Planning: Your Church in 4-D” (www.innovativeplanning.org), with a foreword by Rick Warren, is a practical guide for organizations seeking to develop a culture of continuous improvement through healthy alignment, member ownership and sustainability. He has authored articles that have appeared in NetResults magazine, Church Executive magazine, Leadership Weekly, and other on-line sites and print publications.

Bud leads his own growing consulting initiative, Pinnacle Consulting and Coaching Group (www.pinnacleccg.org) and is a Consulting Partner with The Table Group (www.tablegroup.com), the organizational health consulting firm of Patrick Lencioni, author of the book The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.  Among Bud’s clients are corporate entities, government and non-profit agencies and churches.

Bud holds an MBA, and M.Div. and D.Min. degrees.  He and wife Tammy, a first grade teacher with a M. Ed., have three children.  They love their work, the beach, boating, scrapbooking (Tammy only), Motown and 70s music, and hanging with their kids!

Gary Combs – Regional Director – gary@wilsoncommunitychurch.org

Gary is the lead pastor at Wilson Community Church in Wilson, North Carolina and a founding member of the Innovative Church Community. He planted Wilson Community Church in 1992. Gary was a District Manager with Eckerd Drugs for 12 years prior to going to seminary. He received a B.A. in Music from Radford University with a specialty in Classical Guitar and a M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with an emphasis in Biblical Languages. He serves on several boards, including the Youth of Wilson (Governor’s One On One Mentoring Nonprofit), the Wilson County Minister’s Association, and the Innovative Church Community.

Gary and his wife Robin have three children: Stephen, Jonathan, and Erin. Gary enjoys travel, reading, playing guitar, all kinds of sports, and being with friends and family. He still keeps a mental checklist of things he wants to do in life. He recently checked off riding a camel and floating in the Dead Sea. Skydiving, writing a book, and recording a CD of songs he has written are still on the list.
