Gary Combs, founding pastor of Wilson Community Church, will be hosting our next ICC learning community. Gary planted WCC over 20 years ago and until recently led them as a “portable church.” This past Spring they moved into their first permanent home (the former Regal Cinema 6).

Gary will be using Robert E. Quinn’s book, Deep Change, as a starting point for sharing from his years of experience as a church planter and leadership coach.

Gary says, “Leaders often default into maintenance mode and fail to face the real ‘deep change’ that must be made to adapt to a changing environment. They attempt to make incremental changes while avoiding the risk of going deep into uncharted waters where their current systems and structures might fail them. This kind of leadership requires a surrendering of control and a willingness to embody the change they want to see in others. For the ministry leader this means a continual willingness to answer the call of Christ to ‘Put out into the deep’ (Luke 5:4).”

Mark your calendars to attend this day of peer learning at the newly remodeled WCC campus. And bring your ministry team with you. You and your team will be challenged to stop just “washing your nets” and to go deep for a catch!
